Celebrating Chinese New Year (of the dragon) at our Caterpillars day nursery in Shifnal, near Bridgnorth. We were learning about camouflage and the many various animal prints, along with primary colours and rainbows, are just a few of the fun things we have been busy with at Caterpillars over the last few weeks. We practiced Chinese writing and tried to pick up rice and pom poms with chopsticks, then we painted our own animal zebra skins and created colourful rainbows leading to pots of gold (if only!). We did our favourite experiment by pouring hot water onto skittles sweeties and watching the colour run and form a beautiful rainbow pattern (very calming to watch). Just a few of the many things our Little Caterpillars and Pre-school Caterpillars Childcare get up to enjoying fun times with each other.
